Andrea’s Favorite Self-Care Spots in Nashville

  • Tennis court with a net, a green tennis bag, and a tennis racket on the ground, with trees in the background.

    Richland Park Tennis Courts

Movement is one of my favorite forms of self-care, and there’s something about playing tennis outside that instantly lifts my mood. The Richland Park courts are surrounded by trees and right in the middle of the park. Even just hitting a few balls is enough to clear my head.

  • A view inside a public library with tall wooden bookshelves filled with books on either side of an aisle, and additional shelves and a large window in the background.

    Cheekwood Estate & Gardens

If you’re looking for a peaceful escape right in the heart of Nashville, Cheekwood is pure magic. You can wander through flower-filled gardens, art exhibits, and tree-lined paths that seem to quiet your thoughts just by being there. It’s one of those places that reminds you to slow down, breathe deeply, and notice beauty in the small things. Whether you’re walking with a friend, your dog, or just taking time for yourself, Cheekwood feels like a reset button for your mind and heart.

  • Interior of a large, historic library with high arched ceilings, multiple chandeliers, tall windows, and bookshelves along the walls, with tables and lamps for reading or studying.

    Nashville Downtown Library

If you haven’t spent a morning at the downtown library, please do yourself a favor and go. The architecture is stunning, the reading rooms are peaceful, and there’s such a comforting hum of people who are all there to learn or read. I love working or reading and sitting by the big windows — it’s such a grounding reset.

  • Interior of an antique shop displaying various vintage furniture, artwork, and decorative items, including a wooden wardrobe, framed paintings, a black table lamp, an upholstered armchair with cushions, and a collection of small containers on a patterned tablecloth.

    GasLamp Antiques

GasLamp feels like a treasure hunt every time. I could spend hours wandering through aisles of vintage finds and amazing home pieces. It’s so fun to sift through all of the rattan and incredible old furniture which, to me, is a huge part of self-care too.

  • McCabe Park

I come here for walks with Georgia! The trails wind through greenery, around the golf course, and there’s this lovely mix of people walking dogs, jogging, or just enjoying the day. It’s a gentle reminder that rest doesn’t have to be complicated — sometimes it’s just taking a walk outside.

  • Spa treatment area with three black reclining chairs, each with a pillow and a small table, surrounded by green towels, rolled towels, and decorated slippers. There are foot baths with green towels and cleaning supplies, a massage chair in the background, and a partitioned privacy area with curtains.

    Bucca Reflexology

This one’s a total treat. It’s my favorite place when I need to unwind completely. The massages at Bucca are incredible, and it’s such a calming, sensory reset. If your body feels tense from stress (or life in general), this spot works wonders.
