EMDR with Calee
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic modality designed to alleviate distress associated with traumatic experiences.
Calee brings a warm, compassionate, and authentic approach to EMDR. She understands the courage it takes to revisit past wounds, and she walks beside you with respect, empowerment and safety.
What to Expect
Sessions
The number of EMDR sessions varies: some single-target events may be resolved in a handful of sessions; complex or long-standing trauma may take longer.
Memory Processing
While EMDR is not about erasing the memory or making you forget, it is about transforming how the memory lives inside you: you remember it, but you are no longer controlled or defined by it.
Safety
Emotional and physical responses (tears, shifts in body sensations, new insights) may occur during or after sessions. This is a normal part of the healing process .Your safety, pacing, and stability are always a priority.
What Makes EMDR with Calee different
-
Assessment & Preparation
Calee begins by gathering your history: what brought you here, what your goals are, and whether EMDR is a good fit. You’ll also learn grounding and coping tools to feel safe before deeper processing begins.
-
Targeting & Reprocessing
Together, you and Calee will identify the specific memory, image, belief, body sensation or event to work on. Using bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or other methods), Calee will guide you through a safe re-processing of that material.
-
Processing & Resolution
Over the sessions, Calee will assist you in noticing the emotional charge around the memory begin to decrease, your body feeling less triggered, and your beliefs shift toward something more empowering (for example: “I survived it and I am strong” rather than “It defines me”).
-
Integration & Future Focus
Calle will work on helping you strengthen adaptive beliefs and patterns for your future, so that you not only heal the past but also feel resilient and grounded in the future.
