Soak Up the Sun by Lane

“While sunshine alone isn't a cure-all for mental health conditions, research shows that regular exposure to natural light can have a positive impact on mood, sleep, and overall mental health. Sunlight exposure stimulates the production of serotonin in the brain-- a neurotransmitter that plays a key role in regulating mood. Higher serotonin levels are often associated with feelings of well-being and happiness. This is one reason why people tend to feel better on sunny days!

My encouragement to you in this new season is to make the most of the daylight. You can do that by asking a coworker to eat outside with you during your lunch break, inviting your family or friends to join you on a quick walk after dinner before the sun sets, or starting each day by stepping outside and letting the sun shine on your face for sixty seconds. Be intentional about how you can make the most of a sunny day, and use this time as an opportunity to take care of yourself. Don't forget your sunscreen!””
