Mix Up Your Mornings with Cille

Your morning sets the tone for your day! If you’ve been waking up on weekdays feeling a sense of dread for what the day holds or asking, how many more days until the weekend?, it might be time to mix up your morning routine.

First, start by checking in with your current routines.

  • How long is your morning routine?

  • Which parts do you tend to rush through?

  • What parts are energizing?

  • How do you feel when you wake up in the morning vs. how do you feel when you’re on your way out the door to head to the office or logging onto your laptop to start work?

Next, consider your options. Some ideas to mix up your morning routine include:

  • place your phone across the room instead of on your nightstand to encourage getting up and out of bed

  • avoid screen time/scrolling/checking emails for 10-15 minutes when you first wake up

  • have coffee or breakfast in your pajamas

  • take a walk or sit outside

  • journal about your intentions for the day

  • add 5-10 minutes to your wake up time so you’re not feeling so rushed

  • pack a lunch that you can look forward to

  • listen to an empowering/energizing playlist

  • thoughtfully choose an outfit that makes you feel comfortable but confident

Finally, experiment with your options! Pick one or two things to mix up your routine and practice those for one week, then switch something out the next week.
